Crazy. I gotta say, the train has a LOT to recommend it.
It's from Houseman, fer crissakes. People really should read more. Much of what you see here is opinion, but unlike many Americans, my opinions are at least loosely based on facts.

Yes, it is... even if it did hose your layout :-)
I see it as a feature, not a bug.
A few months ago, I took the train from Seattle to Chicago and back. Very long trip, and North Dakota is exceedingly weary. But, still, it was a very cool trip. Going through the Cascades and then the Montana Rockies was pretty astounding.
I like the train. Everyone else thought I was crazy. No, that's not exactly true. Many of the people at the meeting said, "Gee, that sounds really neat. I would like to do that someday." But I still got the feeling they thought I was crazy.
